Estherville – Services for Marie LaVonne Lilland, 74, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Kermit Rye officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Monday, July 8, 1991 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral from 4:30-9 pm. Thursday.

She was born March 13, 1917 at Ceylon, Minn. the daughter of Olney and Anna (Dohrn) Reid and attended Maple Hill School graduating in 1934. She attended Des Moines Cosmetology School and operated a beauty shop with her twin sister Mary for many years in downtown Estherville. On August 29, 1938 she was united in marriage with Tenner Lilland at Estherville. She lived in the Estherville area her entire life and was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons: Larry of Spirit Lake and Tenner Jr. of Estherville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a twin sister Mrs. Harlan (Mary) Broadie, Clearwater, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 11, 1991)
