Estherville – Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church for Amelia Lenox, 87, who died Thursday [December 24, 1987] at Holy Family Hospital. Burial will follow at East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 26, 1987)

Estherville – Funeral services for Amelia Caroline Lenox, 87, of Estherville will be held at United Methodist Church here Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Balm conducting the service.Mrs. Lenox died Thursday at Holy Family Hospital. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery, and visitation was held Sunday afternoon at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lenox was born Sept. 22, 1900, at Webb, the daughter of Ernest and Paulina (Peterson) Hanke. She attended the country schools in the Webb and Terril areas and was married to Harry Lenox Feb. 19, 1919, at Fairmont, Minn.
The couple farmed in Emmet and Dickinson counties until 1941 when they moved into Estherville. She worked for many years at Paris Cleaners. Her husband died in February, 1967.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons and three daughters: Mrs. Ardelle Coleman of Estherville, Calvin Lenox of Gaylord, Minn., Harold Lenox of Estherville, Mrs. Keith (LaVon) Yarns of Jackson, Minn., and Mrs. Lowell (Lorraine) Domino of Estherville.
Twelve grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and a sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 28, 1987)
