1921-1979
Estherville – Mrs. Elmo (Elvera) Langfeldt, 57, Spencer, died Saturday [April 7, 1979] at Long House in Spencer, Ia.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First English Church, Spencer, with the Rev. Ronald Meyer officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville.

Elvera was born Aug 4, 1921, near Lime Creek, in Murray County, Minn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haberman. She was married to Elmo Langfeldt Dec. 18, 1943, at Avoca, Minn.

The couple lived in Estherville until 1952 when they moved to Webb. They resided in Webb until 1968 when they moved to Spencer. She was employed from 1971 to 1978 as a custodian at Stubs Ranch Kitchen. In 1972 she graduated from the Adult Education Program receiving her high school diploma.

Mrs. Langfeldt is survived by her husband, Elmo, Spencer; one daughter, Elaine, Sioux City; one son, Robert, Storm Lake; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Marie Wilhelm, Mrs. Mildred Rosburg, Mrs. Elanor Reighard, all of Estherville, and Mrs. Loretta Peterson, Chatfield, Minn.; three brothers; Cyril Haberman, Estherville, Donald Haberman, Denver, Colo., and Leland Haberman, Sioux Falls, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 9, 1979)
