Estherville – Services for Ella J. Krueger, 91, of Estherville, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Max Goldman officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1996 at her Good Samaritan Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1996 at her Good Samaritan Apartment in Estherville.Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
She was born Aug. 9, 1905 at Avoca, the daughter of Gus and Emma (Rhoenfeldt) Luth. She received her education in the Avoca Schools. On June 14, 1927 she was united in marriage with Frank Krueger at Freemont, Neb. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Walnut area and later near Atlantic. They retired in 1974 and moved to Avoca and then to Estherville in 1984. She has been a resident at Good Samaritan Apartments the past ten years. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca.
Survivors include sons: Melvin Krueger of Council Bluffs and Frank Krueger of Holstein; daughters: Ruth Pelzer and Mrs. Max (Bonnie) Pelzer both of Estherville; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Krueger, Mesa, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren: Larry, Bruce and Steve Krueger, Alan, David and Brian Pelzer; JoElla Sheets and Jim Krueger; Mark, Scott and Todd Pelzer; Sherry Fuhrman, Jodi, and Susan Krueger; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Luth of Walnut and a sister, Alvina Mills of Elk Horn.
She was preceded in death by her husband May 21, 1986; two sons; her parents; two sisters and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 1, 1996)
