Estherville – Services for Mary Lavonne Knox, 66, of Estherville will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with interment in East Side Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. John Besore III will officiate. She died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1993 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel.

She was born January 6, 1927 at Sioux City, the daughter of Howard and Minnie (Clark) Knox and received her education in Sioux City schools. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital and nursing home while in Sioux City and has lived the past 30 years in Estherville.

Survivors include her mother, Minnie Athey, Hale, Mo. and a brother, Kenneth Knox of St. Louis, Mo. She is also survived by two step sisters: Lorna Bodin, Bow, Washington; and Lorraine Laman, Stanchsield, Minn.; and one step brother, Dwight Athey of Kirksville, Mo.
