Mrs. Mabel Sevold Rites Monday
Mrs. Mabel Melissa Sevold, 84, died at 11:50 p.m. March 15, 1973, at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville, of causes attributed to advanced age. She had been a resident of Rosewood Manor, Estherville, for the past four years. Funeral services are tentatively set for 2 p.m. Monday at Fuhrman Funeral Home with burial to be made at Swan Lake Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 4, 1888, in Blue Earth County, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sprague. The family moved to Springfield, Mo., and later back to the Graettinger area as she was growing up. On March 30, 1910, she was married to Nels Sevold in Estherville and following their marriage, they farmed in the Armstrong and Maple Hill area. Mr. Sevold died in July of 1951.

Survivors include her two sons, Leo Sevold of Maple Hill and Amos Sevold of Lake Havasu Sun City, Arizona; one daughter, Margery Sevold of Dearborn, Mich.; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Francis, her parents, one brother and one sister.

Friends may call at any time Sunday and until time of services Monday at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 16, 1973)
