Hartley – Harry Jespersen, 84, of Hartley died Saturday, Sept. 3, 1994 at Mann Memorial Wing, Hartley. Services were held Sept. 5th at Trinity United Church of Christ with the Rev. Dr. John Besore III of Estherville officiating. Interment was in East Side Cemetery, Estherville. Sanborn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born Nov. 19, 1909 at Maple Hill, the son of Nels and Ellen (Schmidt) Jespersen, he attended Maple Hill and Gruver area schools. On March 3, 1937 he married Irene Juhl at Estherville. The couple farmed in the Estherville Gruver area until retiring and then moved to Hartley in 1986. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Estherville. He has lived at Mann Memorial Wing since June 22, 1992.

Survivors include his daughter Mrs. Norman (Myrna) Lux of Hartley; four grandchildren; Robin Jenkins, Neil, Nicole and Ryan Lux.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nov. 2, 1991; parents; three brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 8, 1994)
