Douglas Harlan Hubacher, age 61, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at The Lodge Hospice in Elko, Minnesota.

He was born on August 22, 1948 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of the late Harlan and Helen Hubacher of Estherville.

Doug attended school in Mason City and Estherville, graduating from Estherville High School in 1966. He attended the University of Iowa.

Doug enjoyed traveling and getting to know people. He traveled through Canada and Europe and spent time in India. He resided throughout most of his adult life in the Los Angeles and Marin County areas of California.

Doug is survived by his sister, Marsha Wilson, and her husband, Jim, of Jefferson City, Missouri. He is also survived by nephews Christopher and Corey Wilson as well as aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.

Memorials are suggested to The Lodge Hospice in Elko, Minnesota.
