Estherville – Services for Merl (Bud) [Alfred] Hausner, 68, Estherville, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Carrol Toberson of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Mr. Hausner died Saturday [July 7, 1979] at his home.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services Wednesday.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hausner, he was born May 12, 1911, at Estherville. He received his education in Estherville schools and was married to Maxine Hull on Aug. 6, 1939, in Estherville.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and worked as a carpenter and bricklayer.

Mr. Hausner is survived by one daughter, Sherry Harris; three brothers, Brick Hausner, Sun City, Ariz., Ralph Hausner, Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Lloyd Hausner, Pubelo, Colo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Doughty, Anoka, Minn., and Mrs. Melvin Warren, Rapid City, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 10, 1979)
