Estherville – Funeral services for Elma C. Hansen, 91, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. on Tues. Nov. 17, 1998, at First Presbyterian Church in Estherville with the Rev. Mark Gabbard officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery. She died Saturday [November 14, 1998] at her home in Estherville.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born on June 22, 1907, in Estherville, the daughter of Anton and Mary (Paulsen) Fisher. She received her education in the Graettinger schools. On June 22, 1922, she was united in marriage to William Hansen in Jackson, Minn. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Estherville. She was employed at L.M. Christensen in Estherville from 1940 until 1950. She also assisted her husband as a custodian at the First Presbyterian Church for several years. Mr. Hansen died in 1982.

She was a 50-year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville.

She is survived by her daughter Wilma Hansen of Des Moines; daughter-in-law, Marjori Khus of South St. Paul, Minn.; seven grandchildren; 11 great grand children and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, her parents, two half sisters and two half brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 16, 1998)
