Estherville – Ervin William Grieve, 75, died Friday, Jan. 11, 1991 [St. Louis County, MN]. There will be a family committal service at a later date at East Side Cemetery. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville is in charge of arrangements.

He was born July 16, 1915 at McGregor, Minn., the son of William and Jessie (Brown) Grieve and attended McGregor schools. On June 30, 1942 [1944 per SD marriage records] he married Irene Sorenson at Watertown, S.D. The couple lived in Minneapolis where he worked as a service technician for RCA. He retired in 1977. The couple moved to Estherville in February of 1987. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Jessie Wurzburger, Duluth, Minn.; two daughters: Mrs. Tom (Dottie) Ross, Estherville; Mrs. Carl (Bonnie) Hoffman, Andover, Minn.; four grandchildren: Corey and Alan Ross, Estherville; David Hoffman, Watertown, Minn. and Robert Hoffman, Andover, Minn.; two sisters: Mrs. Margaret Rodwold and Mrs. Ruth Engard both of Duluth.

He was preceded in death by his wife who died Oct. 27, 1988 and his father. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 16, 1991)
