Estherville – Funeral services for Lois Bringle, 93, of Estherville will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 17 at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Arlyn Norris and Pastor Jane Johnson officiating.
Interment will be held at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. She died on Friday, March 14 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.Visitation will be held from -6p.m. on Sunday, March 16 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville. She was born on Oct. 7, 1903 in Doon, the daughter of Johannes and Emma (Geinke) Fleck. She received her education in the Doon, Fort Dodge schools, graduating from Spirit Lake High School in 1922. Prior to her marriage, she was the Dickinson County Deputy Auditor in Spirit Lake. On March 3, 1929, she was united in marriage to Arthur T. Bringle in Sioux Falls, S.D. After their marriage the couple farmed near Superior. In 1933, the couple moved to Estherville where she has lived since. She has been a resident at the Good Samaritan Care Center since Nov. 1, 1996.
She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Good Samaritan Auxiliary and Eastern Star.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. John (Marion) Degelau of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Arlene Youngstrom of Estherville; Ruth Godwin of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Bringle of Sacramento, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962, her parents, two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 15, 1997)
