Robert Biery
Windom, Minn. – Services for Robert T. [Randall] Biery, 71, of Windom, formerly of Estherville, will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Estherville Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Mavis officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Friday, Nov. 1, 1991, at Minneapolis Care Center in St. Louis Park, Minn.

Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home in Windom and one hour previous to service at the church Tuesday.

He was born June 26, 1920 at Osgood, the son of Arthur and Clara (Randall) Biery. On Dec. 10, 1948 [per Jennie’s obit, 1950], he married Jennie Ross [Jennie Rose Spencer Hurt] at Jackson. She died in 1976. He was a Veteran of the Army from World War Two and had worked at John Morrell & Co. in Estherville for 26 years. The past 12 years he has lived with his step-daughter. He was an active member of the Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include his step-daughter, Lozene Johnson, Windom; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother Murl Biery, West Bend; three sisters: Mrs. Mike (Ruth) Ferreo, St. Paul; Mrs. John (Barbara) Carney, Golden Valley, Minn. and Mrs. Harley (Helen) Wheeler, Henning, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents and one step-daughter. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 4, 1991)
