Hawthorne, Calif. – Mrs. Ray (Elsie) Bardo, 89, formerly of Estherville, died Saturday, Sept. 8, in Hawthorne, Calif. There will be a graveside committal service in her memory at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, in the Eastside Cemetery, Estherville, with the Rev. Max Goldman officiating. Mrs. Bardo [Elsie Vivian Combs] was born Oct. 1, 1889, in Blairstown. She was married to Ray Bardo on Feb. 10, 1909, and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Estherville, since 1947. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Zella Mathiasko, Hawthorne, Calif., with whom she lived for the last five years; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
