Estherville – Services for Florence LeMaster, 79, of Estherville, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. John Besore, III officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Sunday, June 11, 1993 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Appleton, Wis.Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Thursday.
She was born June 5, 1914 in Estherville, the daughter of George and Anna (Maniece) West and attended Estherville Schools graduating from high school in 1931; and attended Estherville Junior College one year. She lived in the Estherville and Ringsted area her entire life. She was County Director of Public Welfare a number of years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church where she was active; also Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary; Center Country Club; Okoboji Christian Women’s Organization and Retired Director’s Association.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Stephen (Elizabeth Anne) Martyr, Eagan, Minn.; Mrs. James (Roxanne) Merrick, Appleton, Wis. and Mrs. Paul (Sheila) Hatch, Hibbing, Minn.; seven grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth West, La Mesa, Calif. and a brother Kenneth West, Estherville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 10, 1993)
