ESTHERVILLE - Funeral services for Ruth Feddersen-Yarns, 88, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 22, at Estherville Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.
She died Thursday, Dec. 18 at the Good Samaritan Society in Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 19, 2008)

LOCATION: Estherville, Iowa

Ruth Maxine (Bentley) Feddersen-Yarns, the daughter of Earl and Zella (Hicklen) Bentley, was born December 19, 1919, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Society in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 88 years.

She received her education in the Spirit Lake schools.

On September 4, 1938, Ruth was united in marriage to Louie Feddersen. The couple made their home in the Armstrong area where they where they lived and raised their family. Ruth was employed at the Jackson Sale Barn in the lunchroom. Later she was employed at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville as a unit aide for 10 years. Louie died in 1980. Ruth was united in marriage to Wayne Yarns on July 2, 1983. Wayne died in 2004. In her leisure time Ruth enjoyed dancing, playing cards, dolls and most of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.

Left to cherish Ruth's memory are her children, Karolyn Werstiuck and her husband, Ivan of Glendon, Alberta, Canada; Jim Feddersen of Cody, Wyoming; Steve Feddersen and his wife, Deb of Iowa City, Iowa; Kolleen Pattison and her husband, Marv of Graettinger, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Myrtle Caskey of Wilmar, Minnesota and Madje Voss of Spirit Lake.

Preceding Ruth in death were both husbands; a son, Larry who died in 2007; two grandsons; and her son-in-law.
