Estherville – Services for Mrs. Henry (Ollie) DeWall, 91, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville with Pastor Richard Berger officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Thursday, March 28, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital.Friends may call at the Henry & Olson Funeral Home from 3-9 p.m. Sunday and at the church one hour prior to services.
Olive Hanke was born Jan. 20, 1894 at Ashton, Ill., the daughter of Ernest and Pauline (Pederson) Hanke. She was baptized at an early age before moving with her family to Iowa where they lived at Marathon and Webb before coming to Emmet County where her family farmed. She attended Marathon, Webb and Emmet County country schools. On Dec. 22, 1916 she was united in marriage with Henry Clemenson who died in 1918. After his death she married Henry DeWall on Dec. 22, 1922 at Terril. They lived northwest of Estherville since that time.
Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Gerald (Helen) Love, Estherville; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Amelia Lenox, Estherville.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; one son; parents and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 30, 1985)
