Geraldine R. Crees the daughter of Purl and Fern (Freed) Steele was born December 19, 1920 in Estherville, Iowa. She died Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 86.
She received her education in Estherville schools.
On May 9, 1953, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Crees in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Estherville. Geraldine enjoyed fishing, cooking, reading and playing cards. Most important was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was a member of United Methodist Church in Estherville.

Geraldine is survived by her sons, Larry Crees and his wife, Lynette of Estherville; Dwaine Crees of Fairfield, Iowa; and one daughter, Terry McCubbins of Estherville; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She has been preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister. (MC)
