Estherville – Funeral services for Orville Clinton, 84, of Newell, formerly of Estherville, are pending at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville. He died on Sunday, October 6, 1996 at the Good Samaritan Center in Newell. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 7, 1996)

Armstrong – Services for Orville Clinton, of Newell, formerly of Armstrong and Estherville, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church in Estherville with pastor Brian Perry officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Sunday, Oct. 6, 1996 at Good Samaritan Center in Newel. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville is in charge of arrangements.He was born Oct. 16, 1911 at Minot, N.D., the son of Lester and Florence (Russell) Clinton and received his education in the Minot Schools. On – 24 1931 he married Dorothy Woodbeck at Noonan, N.D. They moved to Armstrong in 1938 where he owned and operated a grocery-butcher shop. They moved to Estherville n 1946 and he worked for Tobin Packing Co., later John Morrell and Co., retiring in the late 1970’s. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Estherville and Morrell’s Union.
Survivors include: daughter, Mrs. Bud (Ardis) McConnaughy, Payson, Ariz.; Eunice J--, Carnavon, Ia., Mrs. Pe—(Ione) Howard, Boone; Mrs. Art (Janet) Howard, Emmetsburg; Evelyn Cole, Mooreland, Okla.; Mrs. Brad (Noreen) Biggs, Denver; sons: Ronald of Ninety Six, S.D. and Donald (Doc) of Omaha; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 1981; one son, three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and his parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 7, 1996)
