Estherville – Services for LeRoy Clabaugh, 45, of Estherville, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Union Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Perry officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery with military graveside rites by National Guard Battery C. 194th Field Artillery of Estherville.Visitation will be at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
He was born Sept. 23, 1950 in Ludington, Mich., the son of Roy and Marie (Lyle) Clabaugh Sr. He attended Estherville schools graduating from high school in 1968. He married Gloria Fisher in Estherville on Sept. 24, 1982 at Union Baptist Church. He lived most of his life in the Estherville area. He drove truck several years; worked at Estherville Sand and Gravel, later Estherville Foods. He served in the Estherville National Guard for two terms.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria of Estherville; sons: Jeff and Kris Steffes of Estherville and LeRoy Jr. of St. Louis, Mo.; daughters: Leslie Clabaugh of St. Louis and Krista Clabaugh of Estherville; three grandchildren: Hunter Miner, Tanner Steffes, Mariah Hockett; brother, Terry Clabaugh, Estherville; sisters: Mrs. Matt (Sandra) Carney, Estherville, Mrs. David (Mary) Saxton, Madrid, Mrs. Dan (Theresa) Moyer, Larchwood; Mrs. Randy (Connie) Linn, Armstrong; brother Terry Clabaugh, Estherville; half-brothers Clarence Rezak, Jr. of Dolliver, Richard Clabaugh of Skitook, Oklahoma; half-sister Dorothy Runksmeir, Casson, Minn.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Roy. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 30, 1996)
