Estherville – Services for Mrs. Lawrence R. (Erma) Anderson, 76, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Besore III officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Monday, April 6, 1987 at Holy Family Hospital. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Erma Faye McIntire was born Feb. 18, 1911 at Carmen [Carman], Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Carlson) McIntire. She moved with her parents to Emmet County in 1911 and lived in the Halfa and Ringsted area. She received her education in the Ringsted Schools where she graduated from high school in 1929. After high school she received her registered nurses training in the Coleman Hospital, Estherville and University of Iowa Hospital at Iowa City. After training she worked at the University Hospital and Coleman Hospital and also as a private duty nurse. On Sept. 17, 1934 she was united in marriage with Lawrence R. Anderson at Crown Point, Ind. Following marriage the couple farmed near Ringsted until 1974 when they moved into Estherville. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; UPW; a longtime and honorary member of Jack Creek Township CCC Club.

She is survived by three sons: Lawrence F., and Roger of Estherville; Timothy, Mankato; six grandchildren; and one sister, Wilma Ridout, Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband who died Jan. 16, 1982; and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 8, 1987)
