Estherville – Services for Eloise Alvina Aalborg, 67, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Balm officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1987 at the Ruthven Care Center, Ruthven.

Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

She was born April 3, 1920 at Estherville High School and received her Nursing Training at University of Iowa, Iowa City. She never married. She worked at Firestone Tire Co., Perry Drug Store and Ben Franklin Store in Estherville. She moved to Des Moines and worked from 1957 to 1963 and moved back to Estherville to care for her mother.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, UMW, American Legion Auxiliary, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Alta May Smith, Superior and Mrs. Vera Austin, Spencer, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 9, 1987)
