Robert Moon died at the Anderson Hospital Saturday afternoon after a brief illness. He went to Wisconsin about three weeks ago and was taken sick with typhoid fever. He was sent here to be cared for and was taken to Anderson Hospital where he received excellent treatment but to no avail. Deceased was twenty-five years of age at the time of his death. His mother lives in Wisconsin where the body will probably be sent. Deceased was in the employ of T.E. Kent while in this city last summer and drove the ice wagon for several months. He was an industrious and sober young man. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, January 6, 1903)
