Spirit Lake – Services for Chad M. Wagner, 25, of Spirit Lake, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville with Father Thomas Nash and Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Estherville. He died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1993 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital at Spirit Lake.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 4-9 p.m. Sunday. Parish vigil service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

He was born January 31, 1968 in Pocahontas, the son of Jack and Marie (Johnson) Wagner. He grew up and attended school in Estherville graduating from high school in 1986. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College at Estherville and the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls, and was presently employed at Dean’s Restaurant on West Lake Okoboji as a bartender and cook. He enjoyed hunting and cooking as hobbies. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville.

Survivors include his parents, Jack and Marie Wagner of Spirit Lake; one brother, Doug Wagner of Spirit Lake and his paternal grandfather, Ed Wagner, Pocahontas.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 20, 1993)
