Kenneth Petersen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Petersen, passed away at his home Thursday morning. He was seriously injured Tuesday evening while playing at the neighbors. A large post fell on him and two ribs were broken, besides internal injuries. He was operated on Wednesday. Funeral services were held at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Memorial Day. Burial was made in the cemetery. He leaves to mourn his death his father and mother and sister, Marjorie, besides both of his grandmothers and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was adopted by Mr. and Mrs Petersen at the age of four and passed away at the age of six years, four months and nine days. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, June 3, 1931)
