Mrs. Tena Houts
Estherville – Funeral services for Mrs. Tena Houts, 81, Estherville, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Fred Glasser of the Union Baptist Church officiating and burial at 2 p.m. in the City Cemetery, Adrian, Minn. She died Wednesday [October 1, 1975] at Holy Family Hospital.

Mrs. Houts was born August 31, 1894 at Sibley to Mr. and Mrs. John Miller. She moved to Adrian, Minn. at an early age with her parents and at the age of 18 came to Estherville. In 1922 she was married to Ernest Houts in Estherville.

Survivors include one son Kelton Houts, Sioux City, 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; five sisters, Mrs. Hermina Hupp, Spirit Lake; Mrs. Flora Steinman, Mrs. Annie Roberts and Mrs. Carey Jones, Estherville; and Mrs. Margaret Staib, California; two brothers, Harm and Heye Miller of Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one daughter, her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
