Mrs. Ernestine [Schultz] Wordelman died Sunday [December 1, 1935] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.E. Ziemer after an illness of five days. She suffered a heart attack Wednesday.
Mrs. Wordelman was 83 years old. She was born in Germany on Feb. 12, 1852 and came to this country 35 years ago.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. William Sweet, Mrs. Ziemer of this city, Mrs. Otto Weidow of Ceylon, Minn., two sons, Rev. Max Wordelman of Blue Earth, Minn., and Paul Wordelman of Tietof, Wash.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 pm. at the Ziemer residence and at 1:30 at the German Lutheran Church with the Rev. Otis Lang in charge. Burial will be in the Dunnell Cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, December 4, 1935)
After an illness of only five days Mrs. E. Wordelman, 83, died Sunday afternoon at 3:45 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Ziemer. Mrs. Wordelman was stricken Wednesday afternoon while she and Mr. and Mrs. W.V. Sweet and Mr. and Mrs. Ziemer were completing plans to spend Thanksgiving day at the home of her son, the Rev. Max Wordelman in Blue Earth, Minn. Mrs. Sweet is also a daughter of Mrs. Wordelman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Ziemer home at 1 o’clock and at 1:30 at the German Lutheran church with the Rev. Otis Lang officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Wordelman was born Feb. 12, 1852, in Germany, where she made her home until 35 years ago, when she came to this vicinity to live with Mrs. Ziemer and Mrs. Sweet. Her husband [Gotlieb Wordelman] died about two years before she came to the United States.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ziemer and Mrs. Sweet of this city and Mrs. Otto Wiedow of Ceylon, Minn.; and two sons, the Rev. Max Wordelman of Blue Earth, Minn., and Paul Wordelman of Tietof, Wash. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, December 3, 1935)
