Mrs. Simpson Rites Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Simpson who died Wednesday morning, June 14, 1972, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian church in Estherville, the Rev. H. Allen Wirtz officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

Clara Olive Simpson, 81, was born Jan. 18, 1891, at Ellsworth, Minn., the daughter of Ole and Miranda [Johnson] Larson. She was a graduate of Ellsworth High School and attended Worthington Teachers College at Worthington, Minn.

She was married to Harry Simpson in 1911 a Rock Rapids and they lived in Ellsworth, Minn., and Watertown, S.D., before coming to Estherville in 1924.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Estherville, Eastern Star, White Shrine, Past Matrons and the Social Order of Beauceant.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Dolores) Veldy, her son-in-law, Harmon Veldey of Estherville, and two grandsons, Gary Veldey of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and John Veldey of Marshalltown. There are four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today and until time of the funeral. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 15, 1972)
