Estherville – Mrs. Jessie Seevers, 96, Estherville, died Sunday [August 12, 1979] at the Good Samaritan Center.

Services for Mrs. Seevers will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, with Dr. Merrill Summrbell of the Dolliver Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday until time of services.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hudson, she was born Oct. 5, 1882, in Emmet County and was married to Robert Seevers in 1902 at Estherville. She lived her entire life in Emmet County except for a short period when she resided at Oskaloosa. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Seevers is survived by two daughters, Mrs. H.C. Keeler, Plano, Texas, and Mrs. Mearle Morrison, Sergeant Bluff; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; and one sister, MRs. Lela McCaldam, Crescent City, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1909 and never remarried. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 13, 1979)
