Mrs. F.A. Schaefer Succumbs to Illness Wednesday Morning
Mrs. F.A. Schaefer of Spencer, 79 years of age, passed away Wednesday morning, February 10, at 5:20 o’clock at her home, 527 Grove street. Mrs. Schaefer was taken ill about two weeks ago with flu which developed into bronchitis. Other complications resulted in death.

Due to the illness of Mr. Schaefer who has been confined to his bed for several weeks, private funeral services will be held today, Friday, at 12:30 o’clock at the Schaefer home. The Reverence B.J. Trickey, pastor of the First Congregational church, will be in charge of the last rites. Burial will be made at the Estherville cemetery.

Mrs. Schaefer was born at Serena, Illinois, where she grew to young womanhood. At the age of 18 years, she was united in marriage to F.A. Schaefer in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Schaefer came to Spencer from Estherville five years ago.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Rose Duggleby and Miss Charlotte E. Schaefer of Spencer and Mrs. I.L. Dispanet of Raymond, Minnesota, and a son, G.R. Schaefer, of Renville, Minnesota, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children who died in infancy.
