Velma Nauss
Funeral services for Velma H. Nauss, 83, of Superior, were held Friday, May 18, 1984, at 10:30 a.m. at the Superior United Methodist Church with Don Johnson and Tom Balm officiating. Nauss died Tuesday, May 15, 1984 at the Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.Velma H. Nauss was born Oct. 23, 1900 in Dickens, IA., the daughter of Lewis Bahl and Stina Clauson. At the age of two, Nauss moved with her family to a farm south of Terril.
On June 3, 1925 she married Edward W. Nauss, in Terril. The couple lived all their married life in the Superior area. They had lived the last 43 years on their present farm.
She was a member of the Superior Methodist Church and the Superior United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Edward, of Superior; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (LoEtta) Weber, of Sherburn, MN.; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one brother, Harold Bahl, of Lake Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Arthur and one granddaughter.
The Henry and Olson Funeral Home, in Estherville, was in charge of arrangements. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, May 24, 1984)
