Sarah Elizabeth Gleason was born April 9, 1850, in Venango county, Pa., and died in Estherville, Iowa, Dec. 22, 1929, aged 79 years, 8 months and 13 days. She was the third in a family of ten.In the spring of 1877 she came with her parents to Sioux Rapids, Iowa. She lived in or near this town until 1920 when she sold her home and moved to Estherville.
She was married in 1881 to Anton Myers who preceded her in death ten years ago. To this union were born two children, Orvie Myers of Terril, and Mary Lee of Lake Lillian, Minn.
