Estherville – Services for Lydia Miner, 92, of Estherville will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Rev. David Wendel officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Estherville. She died Friday, May 6, 1994 at Rosewood Manor in Estherville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. t Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville Monday.

She was born on July 13, 1901 in Graettinger, the daughter of Fredrick and Marie Luhman and received her education in country schools near Graettinger. She was united in marriage to Elmer Miner on November 23, 1922 in Graettinger. The couple moved 13 times to different farms in the Palo Alto County area. She assisted her husband on the farm for many years. The couple moved to Estherville in the late 1940s. She was employed by her husband and son, Eldon, as a secretary for State Farm Insurance Agency in Estherville. She also was the manager of the Variety Store in Graettinger, owned by her sister Emma Wickert. Mr. Miner died in 1958.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Shirley Miner of Estherville; three grandsons, Doug Miner of Estherville; Craig Miner of Prior Lake, Minn. and Dennis Koehler of Virginia; two granddaughters, Mrs. Ryan (Shari) Bonnicksen of White Bear, Minn. and Mrs. Tony (Kay) DeVary of Estherville and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son, two sisters and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 9, 1994)
