Mrs. Martin Called to Her Reward
Funeral Services Thursday Afternoon at Home of Daughter, Mrs. Stockdale
Burial in Oak Hill
Mrs. F.E. Martin, 62, resident of this city for 18 years, died last night [January 27, 1936] at her home after an illness of nearly a year. Mrs. Martin has been able to be up and around most of the time during the past year but she suffered a stroke about a week ago and has been bedfast ever since.

Last rites will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Stockdale with the Rev. Shelmandise officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Close friends of the family will be allowed to view the remains at the Stockdale home Wednesday afternoon between 2 and 5.

Pall bearers will be H.H. Drey, John Hansen, Harry Sorenson, Roy J. Ridley, Joy Horswell and J.W. Peterson.

Mrs. Martin was born in Peoria, Ill., on April 12, 1873, and was united in marriage to F.E. Martin on Sept. 9, 1895, at Peoria, Ill. They lived in Rock Island for a few years before moving to Estherville in 1917.

She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. L.E. Stockdale; one sister, Mrs. Maude Kauffman of Peoria; two brothers, Charles Millard of Peoria and William Millard of Minneapolis and three grandchildren, John, Jane, and Jerry Stockdale.
