Harold Lenox
Estherville – Services for Harold Ernest Lenox, 67, will be held Saturday at 10:30a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. John Besore, III officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with military service by the V.F.W. and American Legion. He died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 1990 at Holy Family Hospital. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Aug. 5, 1923 at Terril, the son of Harry and Amelia (Hanke) Lenox. He attended country school and graduated from Estherville High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army 1943-1945 in Europe during World War II. On April 26, 1946 he married Lois Schaper at her home. After service, he worked at Tobin Packing Co for three years before starting farming in 1949 in the Gruver- Dolliver area. The couple moved into Estherville in1989.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he had been an Elder and Trustee, and the V.F.W.

Survivors include his wife Lois, Estherville; Daughters Mrs. Steve (Kathy) Mitchell, Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Mrs. Kevin (Evalee) Strenge, Estherville; three grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Ardelle Coleman, Estherville; Mrs. Keith (LaVon) Yarns, Jackson, Minn. and Mrs. Lowell (Lorraine) Domino, Estherville; sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernice Lenox, Gaylord, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Calvin. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 13, 1990)
