Mrs. Amanda Albert and Miss Merta Albert were called to Clear Lake yesterday by the illness of the former’s son-in-law, Alfred King. Mr. and Mrs. King formerly lived in Estherville. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 31, 1938)

Mr. and Mrs. Wellwood William and daughter Joyce motored to Clear Lake, Ia., Monday to attend the funeral of Mrs. William’s uncle, Alfred King. Mrs. D.T. Vanderhyde of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, who was also there returned home with her daughter, Mrs. Williams to spend several days. (Progress Review, La Porte City, IA, April 7, 1938)
