Gone to Her Reward
Mrs. J.T. Gano died Monday morning at her home in the Coon block at the age of 33 years after much suffering.

Miss. M. [Melinda] May Hull was born in De Witt county, Ill., September 15, 1870, and died in Estherville, Iowa, February 8, 1904.

She was united in marriage with J.T. Gano, February 20, 1900, and during these few short years she lived very happily with her husband.

She dedicated her life to God at the early age of fifteen and hence she has been a faithful Christian all her life.

She leaves a father, two brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss, and she has gone to join her mother who was called to her reward about four years ago.

She was an obedient and affectionate daughter, a loving and confident sister, and a tender and devoted wife.

Her life has been full of sickness and pain, and during this last illness of nearly a year’s duration her suffering was most intense, but through it all her patience and resignation was a benediction to all who visited her bedside.

She loved to have her pastor and his wife sing and pray with her, and it was a great comfort to her that she was permitted to enjoy the communion service of the church before her death.

Thus a beautiful life has closed at its noonday but her Master had need of her, and He called her, and she will now be forever at rest with Him, but her memory will ever be sacred to her friends and loved ones on earth.

The funeral services were conducted today at the Christian church at 10:30, and interment was made in the West side cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise/Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, February 10, 1904)

M. Mae Hull Gano
Mrs. M. Mae Hull Gano died Monday, after an illness of a year of tuberculosis of the bowels. The funeral was held from the Christian church this morning at 11 o’clock, Rev. Solder conducting the services.

M. Mae Hull was born in DeWill county, Illinois, Sept. 15, 1870. She was married to James T. Gano Feb. 20, 1900, moving to Estherville in March of the same year. She leaves besides her husband to mourn her departure, a father, J.T. Hull, two brothers, William and Charles Hull and two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Hinthorn and Mrs. Curt Harmon. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, February 10, 1904)
