Mrs. Henry Leupold, [Nancy A. McGowan] wife of Henry Leupold of Emmet township, died at the family home on Saturday, March 2nd of paralysis. She was only sick a short time.
Deceased was born at Reeds Grove, Ill., January 26, 1846, and was sixty-one years of age at the time of her death. The family had resided in Emmet county since 1901, coming here from Illinois and purchasing the farm where the family now resides. Besides a loving husband, six children are left to mourn her sudden demise. They are Mrs. A.W. Smith, Joliet, Ill.; Mrs. Henry Leiser, Lockport, Ill.; Mrs. Geo. Millslagle, New Egypt, N.J.; Mrs. Shaw, and William and Frank Leupold of this county.
Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon and the remains taken to Joliet for burial. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, March 6, 1907)
Mrs. Henry Leopold died last Saturday morning and on Sunday afternoon the funeral services was held from the house, conducted by Rev. Campbell. The remains were taken Sunday evening to Illinois for burial. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in the hour of sorrow.
