The Dr. Fredericksen family at Estherville delightfully entertained Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Myers and sons, Billy and Vernon and Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Anderson and son, Ralph, at dinner Sunday. Mrs. Fredericksen futher entertained the ladies at the Grand theatre at the afternoon matinee. The guests also visited the Coleman hospital where they were permitted to see the young daughter born to Dr. and Mrs. Fredericksen three months ago. This little mite of humanity weighed only three pounds at birth. She now boasts of five and one-half pounds in weight and is gaining every day. She knows her feeding hours as punctually as the nurse and immediately starts to make her wants known if there is any delay at feeding time. Mrs. Fredericksen is slowly recovering from her long siege of sickness following her operation. She is able to get around a little but is still far from well. – Ringsted Dispatch (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 25, 1925)

Infant Daughter Passed Away Thursday
Dr. and Mrs. J.M. Frederickson [Fredericksen] Mourn the Loss of Little Daughter, Ruth Carol
Dr. and Mrs. J.M. Frederickson mourn the loss of their baby daughter, who passed away Thursday [May 28, 1925] morning at seven o’clock. Ruth Carol Frederickson was born December 18, 1924. Because of her frail condition she was kept at the hospital until the Sunday preceding her death when she was taken to the home of her parents. The cause of her death is not known. She seemed to be in good health and was gradually getting stronger. Mr. and Mrs. Frederickson are deeply grieved over the loss of their daughter. Since coming to their home she had completely won their hearts and her passing away places a deep gloom over the household. Everything possible was done to prolong the life of little Ruth Frederickson but it all proved useless and early Thursday morning she closed her eyes in everlasting sleep. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home at 4:00 o’clock. Rev. G. Voorhies officiating, and the body of the little one laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery. The deep sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved family in their hours of sorrow. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, June 3, 1925)

The funeral services for the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Fredericksen were held at four o’clock on last Sunday afternoon.
