Mrs. W.B. Flindt, 67, Dies in Spirit Lake
Death came early Friday morning to Mrs. W.B. Flindt of Spirit Lake at the Marcus Snyder Memorial hospital. She was 67 years old.Funeral services were held Monday, August 16 at 2 p.m. at the Harpole Funeral home with the Rev. Virgil Peterson officiating. Burial was at the Oak Hill cemetery in Estherville.
Survivors include her husband, a retired barber; a brother, Sam Rossman of Aiken, Minn.; two sisters, Doris Essman and Mrs. G.R. Connelly, both of Estherville; and a number of nieces and nephews. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, August 19, 1954)

Funeral services for Mrs. W.B. Flindt of Spirit Lake were held Monday, Aug. 16, at the Harpole Funeral home. The services were held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Virgil Peterson of the Spirit Lake Baptist church officiating. The pallbearers were Milo Brown, M. Thoreson, R.E. Chalstrom, Fred Dowden, W.A. Yager and Cecil Nelson. Burial was in the Oakhill cemetery at Estherville.Mrs. Flindt was the former Katherine Rossman, daughter of Geroge and Asenith Rossman of Victor. She died Friday, Aug. 13, at the Marcus Snyder Memorial hospital in Spirit Lake at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 24 days. She had been ill for some time.
She was a graduate of the Victor public schools and had worked as a typesetter in Estherville from 1904 to 1906. April 23, 1906, she married W.B. Flindt in Estherville. She was active in the Baptist church and did Red Cross work during World War I.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a brother, Sam Rossman of Aiken, MInn., and two sisters, Mrs. G.R. Connelly and Doris Essman, both of Estherville, and several nieces and nephews. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, August 26, 1954)
