Glen Fisher Services Friday in Estherville
Estherville – Glen George Fisher, 66, Estherville, died in Holy Family Hospital Feb. 26.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Union Baptist Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Val Hauck officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be held. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, after 9 a.m. Thursday until noon Friday.

Mr. Fisher was born Oct. 29, 1907 in Webster City to Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Fisher. He was educated in Webster City area schools. He was married on July 15, 1935 to Helen Willhour in Fairmont.

A veteran of World War II, he was employed by the Northwestern and Rock Island railroads for 46 years. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, Estherville.

Survivors include his wife, Helen of Estherville; four sons, Donald Fisher, Estherville, Dewaine Fisher, Sheboygan, Wis., James and Dennis Fisher, Estherville; eight daughters, Mrs. Greg (Deloris) Gregerson, Cedar Falls, Mrs. Richard (Donna) Thorsland and Mrs. Dennis (Geraldine) Brandt, both of Estherville, Mrs. Clarence (Carol) Skalsky, Sheboygan, Wis., Mrs. Roger (Mary) Madsen, Mankato, Mrs. LeRoy (Nancy) Lappegard, Sheboygan, Wis., Mrs. Richard (Doreen) Cray, Independence, Mo., Jane Fisher, Estherville; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold, Harry, and Donald Fisher, all of Estherville; five sisters, Mrs. Florence Erne, Arnolds Park, Mrs. Norman Syverson, Dunnell, Mrs. Harold Thompson, St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Gordon Rick, Estherville, and Mrs. Harold Spoo, Lakefield, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 27, 1974)
