F.J. Fahrion Service Held
Funeral services for Frank J. Fahrion, 59, Route 4, U.S. government meat inspector, were held Monday afternoon at the Major Memorial Chapel. Dr. Alfred S. Nickless, interim pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiated.Mr. Fahrion died Sunday [May 2, 1956] evening at a Mason City hospital. He had been a meat inspector at the Jacob E. Decker and Sons packing plant for the last three years.
Born at Koiwa, Colo., Sept. 28, 1896, Mr. Fahrion had been employed by the government as a meat grader and inspector 13 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Masons, Noth Star Lodge,Emmetsburg.
Surviving are his wife, N. [M] Helen [Howard] Fahrion; a sister, Mrs. Fred Ferguson, and two brothers, Fred and Ernest, Denver, Colo.
Burial will be in Denver, Colo. (Mason City Globe Gazette, Mason City, IA, May 21, 1956)
