Okoboji – Services for Priscilla Dickens, 72, of Okoboji will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 24 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with the Rev. Richard Pearson officiating. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville. She died on Thursday, July 20 at her home at West Okoboji.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.

She was born on May 22, 1923 in Colfax, the daughter of Gordon and Bernadine (Jameson) Forsyth. She received her education in the Colfax schools, graduating from Colfax High School and then attended Simpson College in Indianola.

She was united in marriage to James Dickens on June 1, 1945 in Colfax. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Iowa City, where Jim attended medical school. In 1952, they moved to Des Moines where he practiced medicine at the mercy Hilltop Clinic. The family has spent its summers at West Lake Okoboji since 1956. In 1993, Dr. Dickens retired and the couple moved to Florida for the winter months and continued to spend the summers at their West Lake Okoboji home.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Des Moines, P.E.O. an the Tri Delta Sorority.

She is survived by her husband; one son, James of Clearwater, Fl.; one daughter, Mrs. Tom [Fitzgibbons](Jane Ann) of Sarasota, FL; four grandchildren and one brother, Gordon Forsyth of Estherville.

Services were held on Monday, July 24, 1995, at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville, for Priscilla Dickens, age 72, of Okoboji. Rev. Richard Pearson officiated.

Priscilla was born to Gordon and Bernadine Jameson Forsyth on May 22, 1923 in Colfax. She received her education in the Colfax schools, graduating from Colfax High School. She then attended Simpson College in Indianola.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. James Dickens, of West Okoboji; son, James Dickens and his wife, Debra, of Clearwater, Fla.; daughter, Jane Ann Fitzgibbons and her husband, Tom, of Sarasota, Fla.; grandchildren; Joseph and Jamie Dickens; and Kevin and Kelly Fitzgibbons; a brother, Gordon Forsyth and his wife, Joan, of Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
