Jackson – Services for Mrs. Gladys Day, 91, Jackson will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sathe and Son Funeral Chapel in Jackson, interment in Oak Hill Cemetery at Estherville. She died Tuesday [April 13, 1982] at the Jackson hospital.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday until time of services.

Gladys Arnett was born Feb. 10, 1891 [Per cemetery records, 1890] at Lewiston [Lewistown], Ill. and moved with her family to South Dakota, then to Estherville where she attended school. She married Lester P. Day, June 24, 1914 at Windom. They moved to Jackson in 1915. He died May 17, 1970. She became a resident of Good Samaritan Center in Jackson in 1978.

Survivors include a son, Milton (Bob) Day, Estherville; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Harris, Sanger, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one brother, Eugene Arnett, Tallahasse, Fla. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 15, 1982)
