Resident of Maple Hill Dies Suddenly
John Arthur Reinhardt, 57, of Maple Hill, died suddenly at 5:30 p.m. yesterday at Holy Family hospital. He had been active up to the time he entered the hospital on Tuesday evening.Mr. Reinhardt was born Dec. 10, in Jewel Junction in Hamilton county as the son of Charles and Kathryn Reinhardt. He spent most of his life in the Estherville community where he was a carpenter by trade. Five years ago he moved with his family to Maple Hill.
On Jan. 16, 1943, he married Lucille Evans in Estherville and to this union were born two children, Kathleen, 9, and John, 7.
He was one of the early members of St. Patrick’s parish here.
In addition to his children and widow, survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Joe Blom of Blue Earth, Minn., Mrs. Noel Gaudette of Yakima, Wash., and Mrs. Floyd Sharar of Dunnell, Minn.; three brothers, Charles of Dairyland, Wis., Ed and Herman of Dolliver. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the St. Patrick’s church here, the Rev. Father Joseph Nooney officiating. Burial will be in the St. Patrick’s cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Sternborg funeral home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 14, 1953)
