John D. Christian
John D. Christian, a resident of Estherville, died at his home Friday afternoon. His death occurred after an illness of several months.

Funeral services were held Monday from the home on South 11th street and burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery.

John D. Christian, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Christian, was born in Latham, Ill., on July 4, 1882, and died in Estherville, December 23, 1932, at the age of fifty years, five months and nineteen days.

He came to Iowa with his parents in 1903 and settled in Rockwell City. He was married o Margaret Bruns of Pomeroy on March 21, 1906.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife; four children, Mrs. Helen Druger of Hartley, Mrs. Amy Dalton of Paris, Missouri, Dudley Christian of Hartley, and Mrs. Bertha Lewis of Fargo, N.D.; four grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Christian of Estherville; and four brothers, Charles of Fonda, Fred of Witt, Ill., Richard of Highland, Calif., William of Portland, Ore. and a host of other relatives and friends.
