Estherville – Services for Fern Delide Duitsman, 77, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kermit Rye of Estherville Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Monday, Aug. 8, 1988 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Sioux City.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

She was born Feb. 18, 1911 in Palo Alto County, Iowa, the daughter of Amos and Anna Frey, and attended Ringsted and Graettinger schools. In 1928 she married Lewis Munden in Emmetsberg, he died in 1960. She then married Harry Ostheimer who died shortly after their marriage. In 1965 she married Rudy Duitsman, the couple farmed in the Fonda area until his death in 1968. She has lived in Estherville since his death.

Survivors include one son, Edward Munden, Hutchinson, Kans.; five daughters: Mrs. James (Evelyn) Enwright, Dixon, Ill.; Mrs. Ron (Lucille) Frayne, Garner; Mrs. Wayne (Sharon) Bennett, Grand Island, Neb.; Mrs. Donald (Mary Ann) Jantzen, Traer; Mrs. Dan (Betty) Love, Odessa, Tex.; 26 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two brother Floyd and Earl Frey, Dixon, Ill.; and one sister Mabel Gilman, Ayrshire.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; three sons; two sisters and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 10, 1988)
