2 Prominent Farmers Pass to Reward
A.A. Crim and L.P. Anderson Had Lived in County Many Years
Several of our pioneers and early settlers have been in a critical condition the past week and death claims two, A.A. Crim at nine thirty Tuesday evening and L.P. Anderson at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday [February 7, 1934].

Mr. Anderson, had he lived until the seventeenth of this month would have been 85 years of age. He had been seriously ill for the past week with pneumonia. Mr. Anderson was born in Denmark but came to America as a child. The family came to Emmet county in 1892 from Grundy Center. During the years Mr. Anderson here Mr. Anderson has been a frugal and industrious farmer retaining his residence on the place until the last.

He is survived by his wife also 85 years old, and nine children, Anna and L.E. Anderson at home, Mrs. Nels Linge of the Gruver community, Mrs. Victor Peterson of Sioux City, Mrs. J.W. Rathman of Fergus Falls, Minn., Will Anderson of Walcot, N.Dak., and Andrew, James and Nels of Lisbon, N.D. Mrs. Peterson arrived here Wednesday and the others are all here for the funeral services.

The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the home of 1:15 and from the Norwegian Lutheran church in Estherville at 2 o’clock. Rev. Peder Nordsletten of Wallingford will have charge of the services. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, February 8, 1934)
