Emmet Amdahl
Weslaco, Tex. – Memorial services for Emmet G. Amdahl, 74, longtime Estherville resident, were held Monday at the Presbyterian Church at Weslaco, Texas. He died Saturday, March 23, 1985 at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen, Tex.

Amdahl was born April 6, 1910 in Emmet County and worked for 31 years for Golden Sun. He retired on Dec. 31, 1973 as corporate operations manager for the company.

Survivors include his wife Vera (Duncan) Amdahl, Weslaco; a daughter, Ardith Rowland and her husband, San Ramon, Calif.; grandchildren Ann and John, San Ramon and granddaughter, Mrs. Bruce (Laurie) Church, Spearfish, S.D.; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Garvin and his wife Peggy; parents, two brothers and one sister.
