Mrs. Julia Stanerson Passes Away After Lingering Illness
After a lingering illness of years Mrs. Julia [Thompson] Stanerson, of Dolliver, passed away at her home in that city on Friday lat. Mrs. Stanerson is one of the pioneer residents of this county and had reached the age of 81 at the time of her death.

Mrs. Stanerson had a host of friends and it has been our pleasure to number her among our acquaintances.

The funeral services were held on Monday, the Rev. Nordsletten officiating at a prayer at the home at 12:30 and services at the Palestine Church at one o’clock.

The deceased is survived by the following daughters: Mrs. Thos. Hillestad and Mrs. Martha Christnsen [Christensen] of this city; Mrs. K. L., Hanson of Elmore, Minn.; Mrs. John Laffey of Armstrong; Mrs. T.H. Thompson of Kanawa; Mrs. Olaf Tweedt of Duncomb. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, November 2, 1932)

Dolliver – Mrs. Julia Stanerson, better known as “Grandma Stanerson” passed away at the home of her son, John, on Wednesday morning, October 26th. Mrs.Stanerson was a pioneer in this county, sturdy, helpful and a fine Christian woman and she leaves friends without number who mourn her passing. Funeral services were held from the Palestine Lutheran Church, of which she was a faithful member, on Monday afternoon, October 31st, with Rev. Peder Nordsletten, of Wallingford in charge.
